Course Outcomes for Skylotec ACX Power Ascender Training:
- Understand and Apply Safety Guidelines: Learn how to describe and implement essential safety protocols when working with Skylotec ACX Power Ascenders.
- Master Equipment Lifting Safety: Understand and implement the fundamental safety requirements for lifting equipment with the Skylotec ACX Power Ascender.
- Manage Li-ionBattery Risks: Identify the risks associated with Li-ion batteries and demonstrate proper care and handling techniques.
- Select Appropriate Ropes: Recognise the types of ropes suitable for use with Skylotec ACX Power Ascenders.
- Identify and Operate Ascender Parts: Describe the components and controls of the Skylotec ACX Power Ascender and understand their functions.
- Perform Pre-Use Checks: Conduct thorough pre-use inspections of the Skylotec ACX Power Ascender to ensure safety and functionality.
- Correctly Feed Rope into Ascender: Demonstrate the proper method for feeding rope into the Skylotec ACX Power Ascender.
- Execute Equipment Lifting Setups: Demonstrate the four key equipment lifting setups and understand how to switch between them when using the Skylotec ACX Power Ascender.
- Understand Ascender Applications: Identify the various applications where Skylotec ACX Power Ascenders can be effectively used for equipment lifting.
- Execute Emergency Procedures: Demonstrate the necessary emergency procedures when working with the Skylotec ACX Power Ascender.
Prerequisites
- All delegates shall be medically fit and capable of fully participating.
- Hold a valid Working at height certificate.
Expectations
- Aptitude for Power Ascender lifting operations.
- Hold a valid slinging/rigging qualification.
A signed REAX statement of medical fitness to be signed prior to the commencement of the course. A reasonable level of fitness will be required to complete the practical element of this course.
