This course is intended for persons employed in the telecommunications industry and any persons accessing roof areas where there is a risk of exposure to radio frequencies.
The course offers the ability to recognise the hazards associated with Radio Frequency transmissions, possible health effects and implementing a safe system of work to minimise the potential hazard within the current safety guidelines.
Understanding the basic concepts of Radio Frequency. Identify between ionising and non ionising Radio Frequency. Recognise adverse health effects. Understand legislation and guidance Awareness of Arqiva Radio Frequency policy. Implement practical controls. Understanding of Radio Frequency monitors. Identify common antenna types. Maintaining safe working areas.
