Level 2 Service - Inspection of Milan Unit and rope.
For open Milan units (unsealed) that are used for training or other purposes, it is vital to have a regular servicing plan dependant on use of the device.
A Level 2 inspection includes opening & disassembling the Milan, inspecting the internal mechanism, cleaning it, measuring for signs of wear and ensuring that tolerances are met, replacing some small parts e.g. washers etc, inspecting the rope, then reassembling the Milan complete with it's rope so that it can continue its life. A tamper sticker is also added showing the date of service so that you can easily see when it was last done.
