For persons who may need to enter a Medium Risk Confined Space and may require the use of breathing apparatus sets. Persons who will be required to monitor the gases in the atmosphere prior to entry.
To provide the individual with the information on how to enter a Medium Risk Confined Space area safely. To understand gas monitoring systems and how to determine the readings. To be able to run the permit control system and to oversee all activities within the space and use Tripod/Davit and Winch to gain entry and exit.
The CABWI Medium Risk Confined Space Training course is a level 2 training course that is aimed at those that are required to work in Medium Risk confined spaces. This not only includes individual workers but may also include managers that are required to supervise, assess or oversee any work completed.
The course teaches the safe entry and exit of such spaces, the identification and use of appropriate safety equipment, and the proper monitoring of gas and atmospheric conditions in the space. The Medium Risk Confined Space Training course also teaches the basic use of escape breathing apparatus, and how to identify when this equipment should be used. This qualification will help ensure that your company and employees meet the Confined Space Regulations 1997.
Correct harness fitting.
Correct use of all personal protective equipment.
Safe entry into confined spaces.
Fall arrest systems and safe anchorage points.
Use of gas monitoring and detection systems.
Use of Escape Breathing Apparatus sets.
Carry out a recovery of a casualty from within the space.
Use of quadpod for rescue purposes.
