For persons who may need to enter a low risk confined space but do not require the use of breathing apparatus sets. Persons who will be required to monitor the gases in the atmosphere prior to entry.
To provide the individual with the information on how to enter a low risk confined space area safely. To understand gas monitoring systems and how to determine the readings.
CABWI Level 2 Award in Working in Low Risk Confined Spaces is a CABWI course that is aimed at those that need to enter and work in confined spaces that do not require the use of breathing apparatus.
The course uses a combination of theory and practical training. At REAX Ltd, we have a dedicated, specialist simulation centre where the courses are conducted.
Correct harness fitting.
Correct use of all personal protective equipment.
Safe entry into confined spaces.
Fall arrest systems and safe anchorage points.
Use of gas monitoring and detection systems.
Some physical exertion may be required
Participants should not suffer from claustrophobia
Candidates must sign a basic medical form before commencement of course
All participants must be able to work safely in dark conditions and will be tested on their efficiency at identifying risks, working in confined spaces, and how to safely enter and withdraw from these spaces.
